Tuition & Fees (2025–2026)
Tuition at Sunflower State Dance is billed as a monthly membership and remains the same whether there are 3, 4, or 5 classes in a month.
We do not prorate for holidays or missed classes.
📅 Season Dates
August 11, 2025 – June 20, 2026
The season concludes with our annual recital.
Enrollment is open until classes reach capacity.
Students must be enrolled by February 1, 2026 to participate in the recital.
💰 Tuition Rates (Per Student)
$85/month for one weekly class
15% off total tuition when enrolled in 2 or more weekly classes
Unlimited Classes: $290/month
Additional Fees
Registration Fee: $35 + tax per student (due at enrollment)
Recital Fee: $35 + tax (due with May tuition; includes digital recital video & live-action photography)
Late Fee: $15 + tax for any payments not received by the 7th of the month
💳 Payment Information
All families are required to have a card on file with AutoPay
You may also pay before the 1st of the month via cash, check, or credit card
Costume fees are billed separately and not included in monthly tuition
Scholarships for lower income families and hardships are available through our nonprofit partner, Sunflower State Dance Alliance please see website for application deadlines.
🔁 Missed Classes
We do not offer refunds or prorated tuition for missed classes.
However, students may make up the missed class in another class of the same level during the season.
📩 Withdrawal Policy
We understand plans change! To withdraw from a class:
Email admin@sunflowerstatedance.com
Notice must be given at least 15 days before the next billing cycle (1st of the month)
If notice is not given in time, tuition will still be charged for the upcoming month
👕 Dress Code
Dance shoes should never be worn outside.
Bare midriffs are not allowed in any class.
All dance shoes must be purchased and fitted through Sunflower State Dance to protect dancer development and our specialty flooring.
Girls’ Attire
Preschool / Ballet
Leotard (any color), tights
Skirt optional
Proper dance shoes
Jazz / Tap
Leotard + tights OR leotard + jazz pants
Proper tap or jazz shoes
Adult tap- athletic or movable clothing
Hip Hop
Leggings and a fitted t-shirt
No jeans or shorts
Hip hop shoes (indoor only)
Modern
Leotard and leggings or cut off tights
Barefoot
Boys’ Attire
Ballet / Jazz
Black dance pants + white shirt
Appropriate dance shoes
Other Styles
Athletic clothing (no shorts)
Proper footwear for each style
💇 Hair Requirements
Hair longer than shoulder length must be pulled back in a ponytail
Shorter hair should be secured away from the face with headbands or pins
For Beginning Technique ballet and up, a ballet bun is required
